Here’s one for all those Catholics out there! Unlike my last
entry, St Mary’s Cathedral, for mot people, isn’t really a fun filled family
attraction. It is however very religiously significant to Australia and Catholicism.
St Mary’s Cathedral is the first Catholic Chapel in Australia.

It stands at 74.6 m high, 107 m long and 24.3 m wide. Apart
from it’s size the Chapel is also extremely beautiful and an excellent example of
classic “gothic” architecture. Standing outside one can feel overwhelmed at the
size and beauty of the place, although after walking inside we are left in awe
as we gaze at out surroundings.

The cathedral really is a place of beauty and is definitely
worth the time to go and check out. For further details you can visit their
website here: http://www.stmaryscathedral.org.au/index.html
